Windsor Riverside and Bath Island

Parks & Walks

Windsor Riverside is great for a family stroll. We would usually start from Windsor Leisure Centre Car Park SL4 5BJ (pay and display), then head to the Bath Island for a picnic or a walk there. The view of the castle from Bath Island is a must (walk to the end on the right side). Bath Island is a tranquil pleasure ground where kids can run around and/or just read a book or look at boat pass by or you can also see the train. There are two picnic tables in the Island and a lot of benches.

We then like to follow the walk via the riverside path towards Windsor-Eton Bridge. On the walk you can stop to feed ducks, geese and swans. Most of the kiosk on the riverside footpath sell ducks food. You can also get an ice cream in one of the kiosk on the way. The nearest public toilet facility is located in River Street Car Park or Alexandra Park.

If you are a resident and have an advantage card you can use the residents scheme (apply online) to park 1 free hour in Alexandra Gardens or Alma Road.
